Having successfully launched the 2009 GHEITI Audit Report on 26th October, 2011, the GHEITI Secretariat together with the GHEITI National Steering Committee wish to embark on a series of dissemination and capacity building workshops and community forums.

2.    The first in the series will be for representatives from mining companies, Finance/Budget Officers from the District Assemblies, Traditional Rulers, Community radio stations and some Civil Society Organisations.

3.    Also planned after the workshop, is a Community Forum at the Tarkwa Community Hall. This community forum will provide the platform to explain the 2009 reports to the community members in the Tarkwa and its environs directly impacted by mining activities. The Forum will be organized in collaboration with the Tarkwa District Assembly.

4.    The workshop is scheduled for 24th November 2011, at the Hotel de Hilda in Tarkwa, while the Community Forum will take place at the Tarkwa Community Hall on the 25th November 2011.
